Costa Rica

In March of 2005, just after I met my wife Bobbi online, my brother and I took a very special 1-week trip to Costa Rica as part of a Geology class at Portland State University.  At the time, my brother and I were living in a one-bedroom apartment while attending PSU.  This opportunity came up, and I said "We HAVE to go!".  It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I won't forget.  Unfortunately, I didn't have nor could afford an SLR, so all these pictures were taken with an Olympus Ultra Zoom digital camera (sorry I can't remember the model).  The other thing is that, yes, some of the pictures are of caged animals (from a zoo in Costa Rica), but I still feel they are worthy of posting.  And the lightning? That took over 2 hours to get while lying on my back during a dry storm!   Feel free to click the Nature tab above to see other Nature related pictures.
